WHAT TO EXPECT AT ONE OF MY SESSIONS:
Oh, how I love this part.
It can be intimidating, a camera pointed your way. The kids running wild. The baby crying. What to wear, where to go. I’m here to tell you - Don’t worry about any of it! I can guide you through it all. I always have a little fun with the kids, get to know them. I try to make them laugh and get them relaxed. Getting your pictures taken does not have to be stressful or not fun. I try my best to make everyone laugh! We will warm up with some silly photos, and then the magic starts! I usually have a general plan of how I want the session to go- but in the moment, I start thinking of a ton of new things to do! And those “new things” are really my creativity adjusting to whatever situation we are in. This is where the creativity starts to flow. Throughout the session, I ask a bunch of silly prompts like “Look at the stinkiest one in the group”. I always get the best giggles and smiles with these prompts! Parents get their own prompts too! Sometimes we play ring around the rosy, or I’ll call a race for the kids (it helps get their energy out too - you’re welcome!) There are fun prompts, and there are more intimate prompts for couples. We always walk around to refresh our atmosphere. USUALLY my sessions fly by because we truly do have fun! I am expecting clients to be a little nervous, not knowing how to pose or “what do I do with my hands” - I PROMISE I got you! I LOVE being a photographer and capturing these moments for my clients. I know what I want to capture before I capture it, its just a matter of making that magic happen. Photography is such a beautiful gift. It’s pure magic - to be able to capture the moment, the memories. The feelings. Freezing time. It’s incredible- to be able to look back at old photos, and watch your kids grow up, all the tiny changes from year to year, all the memories to be remembered, and the emotions able to be felt just by looking at a picture. It’s pure magic, and I am honored to be apart of that magic.
